Surgeons
What FRCSC means
FRCSC stands for Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. It means the surgeon has completed a Royal College accredited residency in their surgical specialty and passed the College's certifying examination. The specialty in which each surgeon is certified is listed beside their name above.
Verifying a registration
Both surgeons hold a certificate of registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The CPSO number listed beside each name can be entered on the College's public register at cpso.on.ca, which shows the class of registration, the specialty recognised and any terms or conditions. We publish the numbers so that patients and referring offices can check the record for themselves.
How patients are assigned
Plastic surgery referrals are triaged by the practice rather than addressed to an individual surgeon, and the patient is booked with the surgeon appropriate to the referral. Please do not delay sending a referral in order to request a named surgeon. If there is a clinical reason for a particular surgeon, note it on the referral and we will accommodate it where we can.
